How It Works

1. An initial inspection is conducted to establish a baseline.
2. Future inspection frequency to be determined after initial inspection.
3. Future inspections will measure against the baseline; any anomalies are reported with recommended action.
4. SBI Service coordinator schedules all service and inspections, allowing you to focus on your business.

INDUSTRIAL SERVICES DIVISION

SBI’s Industrial Division is set to deliver our industry leading safety and quality control processes in more technically challenging markets. An important focus area for us is the heavy industrial market segment with all of its unique requirements around specific plant operations, technological and process construction. In this market our focus is small to mid-size site construction, modular construction, small projects and maintenance services. We work with a wide array of trade contractors to provide design and construction services and have in-house maintenance, concrete, and steel services.

Design | Build

Scott have provided comprehensive Design | Build services since 1978. With an in-house design capability and experienced pre-construction team they are geared for the built-in Design | Build benefits of fast response, early comprehensive budgets, and the overlapping of design and construction to fast track a project.

Project Management

SBI offers complete project delivery services. Our team of professionals work collaboratively to reduce risk to our owners. Scott Builders’ Project Managers use the expertise of our Core Team and Sub-Contractors to assemble the right tools, knowledge and procedures to complete any project.

Maintenance Services

Our customer focused service and maintenance programs are completely customizable to match the needs of your facility.

Concrete Forming

To control the quality of our concrete foundations and expand our service offerings, Scott Builders has developed our own crew of formwork specialists. Our crews have consistently delivered on sub-grade foundations and structural concrete installation.

Steel Supply and Erection Services

Building Systems and Structural Steel have been the foundation of our company. We have designed, engineered, supplied and erected numerous custom steel buildings. Be it conventional steel or Engineered Buildings Systems, we have the capacity to take on steel erection projects of any dimension – employing well trained and experienced workers.

Modest Beginnings

Scott Builders was formed in 1971 and remained a relatively small regional general contractor, specializing in the sale and erection of Butler Engineered Building Systems. In 1978 it began to broaden its service options into Design | Build work. The company remained a relatively small, regional builder until Ralph Ward took over in 1986.

Within 3 years the company had expanded by adding full service offices in both Calgary and Edmonton. Their ability to design and construct larger projects, the growth of their client base resulting in considerable repeat business and a companywide DNA of putting their people and customers ‘first’, took hold.

At the time, I saw Scott as a competent Design | Build contractor operating primarily in the light industrial/commercial markets in Central Alberta with a solid reputation. They were truly a negotiating contractor that took very good care of its customers and its people.

Building Relationships

During the 90’s Scott Builders designed and constructed over twenty two Revy Home and Garden retail stores, eighteen of them were mega stores in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario.

The success of the Revy program was exemplary and clearly spoke to Scott’s capabilities to manage the Design and construction of large multi-site programs, helping to promote relationships with NEW major buyers of construction. Today over 70% of Scott’s business is repeat.
