Project Summary:
Manitoulin Transport has the most extensive transportation network in North America and their Acheson, Alberta terminal, originally 100,000 sq. ft., is one of the largest in Western Canada. Situated on 30 acres of land, it features 94 tractor and 341 trailer parking stalls as well as a fueling facility, large freezer and cooler area. The crossdock, originally built with 78 doors has since been expanded with construction by Scott, to 90 doors under 70,371 sq. ft. of roof increasing the total footprint to 123,475 sq. ft. There is also 22,250 sq. ft. of service garage to help maintain the fleet, the 2-storey administrative office is 18,600 sq. ft.
Scott Builders also designed and built new facilities for Manitoulin in Calgary, Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray and Wabasca.
