Terry has been involved in the delivery of complex design and construction solutions for over 30 years. Trained as an Architectural Technologist, he has worked in all three sides of the project triangle practicing architecture and engineering, delivering construction management, and providing professional project management services. Past clients include public entities such as Public Works Canada, the Department of National Defence, Transport Canada, several provincial and territorial governments, Indigenous clients, as well as major commercial and industrial clients from the private sector. Terry joined the Scott Builders’ team as part of our Edmonton Branch in early 2021, bringing his experience leading large and complex building programs. His ability to manage large and complex projects make him an asset to our team and ensures effective coordination, budget management, and timely deliveries for all projects he is a part of.

The culture, Scott Builders has strong client focused culture that I really resonate with. As a team we’re encouraged to be versatile, empowered to act, and be a part of the solution to our client’s goals.
WHAT INITIALLY DREW YOU TO THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY & WHAT MADE YOU STAY?
After 22 years of practice in architecture and engineering, I moved into construction, this decision was a natural choice for me because of my love for a challenge. After working in integrated design and alongside so many different teams, I found myself thriving on the satisfaction of developing solutions for complex projects.
WHEN YOU’RE NOT HARD AT WORK, WHERE CAN WE FIND YOU?
If I’m not hanging with my family, you should likely look at the concert schedule around the city. I try and take in as much live music as possible.
SOMEONE YOU ADMIRE? (OR YOUR HERO)
I have had the opportunity to work with many great people over my career. Great architects, great engineers, great builders. I love architecture and I love music. Not sure I have one specific person I can name; if I was to name one, I would have to name dozens.
