Family owned and operated, and in operation since 1974, Trail are the largest independent appliance retailer in Western Canada. They have more recently taken on major expansion plans in Red Deer, Calgary and Edmonton. In each case collaborating with Scott in the design and construction of new and renovations of existing facilities including this new 31,154 sq. ft. Red Deer showroom and office, quickly followed by a large scale renovation at their Crowfoot store (27,200 sq. ft.) in Calgary. Their plans for Edmonton are also well underway with the construction of a new 100,000 sq. ft. facility due for completion Spring 2023.

Valleyview Town Hall

Design Team: Town of Valleyview, Scott Builders Inc. and Flechas Architecture
Achieving Passive House Plus (by PHI Germany Standards) was important to this Team and they worked collaboratively to accomplish it. 2018 saw the completion of this two-storey facility that includes offices, meeting rooms and support spaces. Orienting the building to optimize sun exposure in the winter, installing solar panels, and encasing the building in insulation with an R-58 value are just a few Green features used by Scott to achieve Passive House status.

Stantec called Scott Builders when they required tenant improvement work done to the 7th and 11th floors of the Stantec Executive Place. Craning materials through a window during early weekends and maintaining public safety were key elements for Scott.

Design Team: Peerless Trout First Nation, Scott Builders Inc. and Ingram Consulting Ltd.
Scott, along with their team architect, worked closely with Peerless Trout First Nation in the design of these Administrative Offices. This was the first of two projects completed at Peerless Lake for Peerless Trout First Nation. It has a unique feature in the foyer depicting a drum and is completed with the band’s emblem. The facility also includes a large boardroom and gathering spaces. Scott effectively employed local sub-trades to complete the construction and utilized internal construction staff to help coordinate all construction.

Situated at a prime location for visibility and access, this unique architectural building called the Westside Professional Centre has become a landmark in Grande Prairie.

This unique three-storey building began with the demolition of their original office. Using the existing foundations, the new office building was constructed with the second story overhanging the main floor by 10 feet on two sides and 20 feet on the third. The top floor houses a rooftop patio and is designed for future office development.

West End Nissan Dealership

Size: 46,951 sq. ft. on 4.96 acres

Design Team: Nissan and Scott Builders Inc.
This project began with the demolition and site remediation of a retail building and gas station before constructing this outstanding dealership. Scott Builders finished the project in 2019, only 19 months after starting Pre-Construction Services and demolition.
