This single-storey office and attached maintenance shop were constructed with load-bearing structural precast concrete. The salt & sand storage shed is a large, clearspan PEMB and includes open air storage along one side.

A well-laid out medical clinic, this Dental office includes ample space for treating their clients. Beautiful finishes and skylights provides staff a great workplace with a comfortable atmosphere. During design, a portion of the building was allocated for future development.

This two-storey facility has a pre-cast basement and structural steel shell. The main floor is a doctor’s office with staff offices, exam rooms, lunchroom and washroom facilities. The second floor is divided into Primary Care Network space as well as a fully functioning dental clinic. The basement consists of future lease space, meeting areas as well as washroom facilities.

The unique design of the Downtown Red Deer CAMIS building houses two clinics, a state-of-the art centrally controlled Building Management System for mechanical and electrical systems as well as  a design that allows for maximum natural lighting. The building includes an elevator, x-ray rooms, administrative offices and a symposium as well as a staff gym located on the second floor. The x-ray division is located in the lower level and is directly accessible from the outside.

This two storey medical centre was constructed for multiple end users with Physiotherapy, Chiropractic and Massage Therapy on one side, and a Doctor’s Medical Clinic on the other. Between the two sits a pharmacy. The lower floor contains additional lease space.

This solid design has the formal auditorium as central with offices and support areas off to one side. The building also has a large kitchen, a workshop and a fellowship hall for gatherings. Scott played an integral role in developing the design with an involved and creative church committee.

Abundant Life Church

This two-storey conventional steel structure incorporated high end modern exterior finishes which included EIFS, metal panels, and stacked stone.  The building boasts a complete commercial kitchen, a 2,500 sq. ft. gymnasium and a sanctuary designed by local acoustical engineers to emphasize the speaker’s voice while simultaneously reducing reverberation for the crowd to give exceptional audio quality in the space.  The gymnasium was designed with a ComSlab structure to obtain open spans below to accommodate a meeting space uninterrupted by structural columns.

Design Team: Korean Presbyterian Church, Scott Builders Inc. and Brian Allsopp Architect Ltd.
Cost savings was of utmost importance on this project, so the foundation and steel structure were constructed in the fall and the remainder of the project resumed in the spring to avoid winter construction. In addition, the active site was very tight and restrictive, so careful material delivery planning was essential. An agreement between Scott Builders and neighbouring property owners was set-up to gain site access.
