The Project Assistant works collaboratively with the Project Managers and/or Coordinators and is responsible for providing general administrative support for assigned projects. In particular, this position assists with project set up, organization of project documentation, meeting scheduling and preparation, as well as monthly accounting processes.
We are looking for a candidate that has previous experience in a project assistant or similar role in the commercial construction industry with an understanding of construction and project management processes. Candidates with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, have exceptional organizational skills, with an aptitude to prioritize competing timelines would be ideal in this position. Experience with financial processes including but not limited to accounts payable, visa processing, processing change requests, issuing purchase orders and invoicing is essential.
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a diploma in Construction Engineering Technology, Business Administration or related field from a recognized post secondary institution. We are looking for a candidate with the ability to work independently on tasks while collaborating with multiple project teams to meet commitments.
