Scott Builders Inc. is seeking a dynamic, highly organized, results oriented and analytical minded Market Development Coordinator to join the team! Job Summary:
Under the direction of the CEO and business development team, this position is responsible for supporting the business development team by conducting market research to determine conditions, trends and growth areas to identify new potential market and client opportunities. This position will also be responsible for marketing initiatives, including social media, website management, marketing materials and coordinating events.

• Under the direction of the business development team, contact potential clients through email and by phone to introduce Scott Builders, establish rapport and arrange meetings
• Record and track the effectiveness of all outbound contacts
• Update and maintain CRM contact database
• Write and send targeted sales-qualifying emails to reach out to prospective clients
• Coordinate meetings between potential clients and the business development team
• Develop and maintain relationships with local municipalities and organizations that are in growth stages to learn of potential new opportunities
• Assist in the development, creation and coordination of marketing programs, documents and advertising campaigns.
• Assist with handling website management and updates as necessary.
• Maintain inventory of marketing materials and coordinate the preparation, review, production, print and distribution of marketing materials (including company promotional items)
• Assist with the planning/coordinating of trade shows and events
• Provide general administrative assistance to management as required (ie. drafting letters, reports, presentations, etc.)


Education & Experience:

• Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent (equivalent education and experience may be considered)
• 5+ years previous experience in administration preferably in sales and marketing
• Demonstrated experience to make initial contact with potential clients
• Experience working in various digital marketing platforms (social media, websites)
• Understanding of the construction industry considered an asset

• Strong research and analytical skills
• Highly effective prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to manage time effectively and efficiently between departments and managers
• Superb writing, content development and editing skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented
• Ability to work effectively with minimal guidance
• Proven team player who is both flexible and adaptable
• Intermediate computer skills, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, and Adobe Products
• Flexibility in working periods of overtime and travel to branches/sites on occasion
• Must have and maintain a valid provincial drivers license
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor employment visas.
