Scott Builders Inc. is pleased to announce a groundbreaking ceremony was held in March 2024 for the new Shuswap Healing Centre in Sicamous, British Columbia. This project is a partnership between the District of Sicamous and the Splatsin First Nation. The exterior, shown below, was designed by Douglas Cardinal Architecture.
The goal of this project is to create a medical hub of healthcare for the community. The centre will house doctors’ offices and lab services along with a range of healthcare professionals like physiotherapists and massage therapists. It will also have spaces for traditional healing methods, large community gathering spaces, and 3rd party rental spaces.
A groundbreaking ceremony signals the start of the on-site construction phase of the project, which is expected to last until Winter 2025 for the Shuswap Healing Centre.
